The SSI Dive Guide course at Scuba Sur Gran Canaria teaches divers how to safely lead groups of certified divers. The program develops skills in underwater problem-solving, professionalism, and group leadership. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification, the first step toward a career as an SSI Dive Professional.
Training Overview
The course begins with online theory through the my.DiveSSI app. You can complete the theory at your own pace before arriving in Gran Canaria.
Practical training is arranged according to your schedule. The program is available as a standard course following SSI guidelines, or as a full-time internship lasting 6–8 weeks. Interns work alongside experienced staff and receive coaching throughout the program, gaining real-world experience in guiding dives in various environments and conditions.

- Leading groups of certified divers safely
- Underwater problem-solving techniques
- Professionalism and diver management
- SSI standards for guiding dives in different conditions
- Optional internship for hands-on leadership experience
