Extend your diving range with SSI Deep Diving in Gran Canaria
The SSI Deep Diving Specialty at Scuba Sur Gran Canaria allows you to extend your diving range safely. Learn to plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters (up to 40 meters) under professional supervision. Training starts from the protected beach at Anfi del Mar, Arguineguín and includes three open water dives, ensuring you gain confidence and skills for deeper dives. This certification is recognized worldwide and is a prerequisite for certain advanced courses.
You will need to use your dive computer intensively as you will need to monitor your “no-deco time” very closely. The program consists of 3 open water dives. You will earn the SSI Specialty certification after completing this program.
Training Overview
Start with online theory via the my.DiveSSI app, at your own pace, from home or even on your holiday balcony. Then complete three open water dives:
- Deep – first experience beyond 18 meters in Gran Canaria waters
- Deeper – extend depth safely with instructor supervision
- Deepest – practice full skill set and dive planning up to 40 meters
Certification Result
Once certified as an SSI Deep Diving, you can dive up to 40 meters worldwide. This specialty opens opportunities for advanced courses and challenging dive sites around Gran Canaria and globally.
