Tufia

Tufia has been declared as a protected site in 1973 and a protected natural area by the government because there are remains of aboriginal life. The area is about 54 hectare and a lot of the houses are built in the rocks. The underwater structures of layers of lava plunging into the sea created many caves and caverns forming the natural habitat of a lot of marine life. They also form great hideaways for rays.
